Το Drag Me δεν μοιάζει να είναι τίποτα παραπάνω από μια μουσική μυθοπλασία: Ένα διαταραγμένο κορίτσι που αντιδρά βίαια μπροστά στην παράνοια και την συναισθηματική αλλοτρίωση της ζωής στην παρηκμασμένη Αθήνα.
Οι post-punk μελωδίες των The You And What Army Faction οπτικοποιούνται από τον Νίκο Κέλλη, μέσω animation, αναδεικνύοντας με τον πιο λυρικό τρόπο τον αστικό τρόμο. Ο βρώμικος, “ενοχλητικά” σκοτεινός ήχος των Faction, τα “ακατέργαστα” σκίτσα του Raggedy Man («φωνή» του group) και τα ψηφιακά cut-out animation του Daniel Gies αποτέλεσαν την έμπνευση για μια μητρόπολη τραχιά ζωγραφισμένη, με τους ύποπτους δρόμους της και τους λούμπεν χαρακτήρες που την γεμίζουν. Με αλλά λόγια, το Drag Me θα μπορούσε να είναι ο χειρότερος εφιάλτης του Tim Burton, εάν αυτός ζούσε στην Αθήνα.
Drag, appears to be nothing more than an urban music tale: a disturbed girl reacting violently to the paranoia and alienation in a decadent Athens.
The post-punk melodies of The You And What Army Faction are animated by Nikos Kellis, exposing urban terror in a strongly lyrical fashion. The dirty, “disturbingly” dark sound of Faction, the “raw” sketches of Raggedy Man (“voice” of the group) and the digital cut-out animations of Daniel Gies, have been the starting point for the creation of a crudely drawn metropolis, with its mean backstreets and lumpen characters. In other words, Drag could very well be Tim Burton’s worst nightmare, if he lived in Athens.
